Guidelines for presenters

Oral Presentations

An oral presentation is either an oral communication derived from an original abstract, a ‘What is it?’ case presentation or a presentation in the symposia sessions.

  • Oral communications presentation time: 10 minutes (including discussion time)
  • ‘What is it?’ presentation time: 10 minutes (including discussion time)
  • Symposium presentation time: 15 minutes (discussion at the end of the session)

A powerpoint presentation needs to be prepared prior to the congress and uploaded at least two hours before the time slot of the presentation.
Please refer to the organizing secretariat on-site to upload your presentation in Padua.
The format for powerpoint presentations is 16:9. Movies should be embedded within the presentation. Please keep your text large enough to be easily legible at a distance.
Please make sure to include a slide indicating any conflict of interest. A slide template can be downloaded through this website.

Poster format

The entire poster can have a maximum size of 160 cm high x 90 cm wide (portrait style). The poster does not necessarily have to fill the entire board area. Material to attach the poster to the poster board will be available on site. For the font of your poster, it is recommended to use large, semi-bold letters, at least 5 mm high. The text should be easily legible from a distance of 2-3 m. We recommend to use DIN A0 portrait style (118,9 cm high x 84,1 cm wide).
Poster authors are required to disclose potential conflicts of interest regarding the poster presentation in their poster. The staff of the organizing secretariat on-site will be happy to answer any question you might have.

In addition to the presentation of their physical poster(s), all abstract authors with their registration fee paid are invited to send a digital version of their poster (optional E-Poster). Please keep in mind that the E-Poster is an additional opportunity. It does not replace the presentation of their physical poster. E-Posters will be available online at AECVP website (reserved area) throughout the congress.
Please send the pdf version of your poster to chiara.carturan@unipd.it by September 20 at 23:00.

E-Poster Presentations

Authors who have submitted an abstract selected as an E-Poster presentation are required to upload a digital version of their poster (E-Poster). E-Posters will be available online at AECVP website (reserved area) throughout the congress. The E-Poster should be in portrait style. For the font of your poster, it is recommended to use large, semi-bold letters. The text should be easily legible. We recommend to use DIN A0 portrait style (118,9 cm high x 84,1 cm wide).
